The BNPB has released updated data on the impacts of flooding and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra as of Wednesday (December 3, 2025) at 07:15 a.m. WIB.

The number of fatalities has reached 753 people, while 650 others remain missing and 2,600 have been injured. BNPB also recorded that 576,300 residents have been displaced across the three provinces.
In addition, damage to public facilities includes 299 bridges, 129 houses of worship, 9 health facilities, and 323 educational facilities. Residential damage is also extensive, with 3,600 houses severely damaged, 2,100 moderately damaged, and 3,700 slightly damaged.
Overall, the number of people affected in North Sumatra, Aceh, and West Sumatra has reached 3.3 million, with a total of 50 districts impacted by the disaster.
This data indicates a crisis of an extremely large scale, requiring rapid and well-coordinated response and recovery efforts across the affected regions.
Total Death Toll in Aceh
The total number of deaths in Aceh due to the 2025 Sumatra flood disaster has reached 325 people.
A total of 170 individuals are still missing. In addition, at least 1,900 people have been injured.
According to the latest BNPB data as of today, Friday, 5 December 2025, 5,200 houses in Aceh have been damaged, and 18 regencies have also been affected.
Damage to public facilities in Aceh includes 204 bridges, 48 places of worship, 75 educational facilities, and 99 offices.

Total Death Toll in North Sumatra
The total number of deaths in North Sumatra (Sumut) due to the Sumatra flood disaster is the second highest after Aceh.
At least 312 people have died in North Sumatra. 127 individuals are still reported missing, and 646 people have been injured.
The 2025 Sumatra floods affected 17 regencies in North Sumatra, and 2,400 houses were damaged.
The latest BNPB data shows that damage to public facilities in North Sumatra has reached 74 units. The breakdown includes 27 bridges, 19 places of worship, 54 educational facilities, and 1 health facility.

- Central Tapanuli: 88 people
- South Tapanuli: 84 people
- Sibolga City: 53 people
- North Tapanuli: 34 people
- Deli Serdang: 17 people
- Medan City: 12 people
- Langkat: 11 people
- Humbang Hasundutan: 9 people
Total Death Toll in West Sumatra
Meanwhile, the total number of deaths in West Sumatra (Sumbar) has reached 200 people.
In addition, 212 individuals are reported missing, and 111 people have been injured. A total of 3,000 houses in West Sumatra were damaged, and 16 regencies were affected.
As of Friday, 5 December, BNPB data shows that the 2025 Sumatra floods also caused damage to 339 public facilities in West Sumatra.
The breakdown includes 118 places of worship, 24 health facilities, 197 educational facilities, 16 buildings/offices, and 64 bridges.
